Welcome

Welcome from our conference chairs

We are excited to invite you to the Oceania Tobacco Control Conference 2024 (OTCC), which will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Queensland Australia on 23rd-25th October 2024.

The OTCC is the region’s premier tobacco control conference, bringing together researchers, advocates, policy makers, and program administrators from Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Island nations. The biennial conference is an opportunity to share the latest tobacco control research, policy developments and programs from our region and to showcase best practice and emerging trends. After COVID-19 disruptions, we are pleased to be bringing back this fantastic conference in 2024.

This year's conference theme is “Reignite the Fight” and will be co-hosted by Cancer Council NSW, Cancer Council WA, and Cancer Council QLD.  OTCC 2024 will showcase tobacco control learnings across the Oceania region through an engaging and thought-provoking program and facilitate attendance from priority groups through a comprehensive scholarship program.

Conference highlights:

  • In-depth workshops: OTCC 2024 will feature multiple workshop sessions on a variety of topics
  • Keynote speakers: renowned experts and international leaders to share their insights, experiences, and strategies for success in tobacco control
  • Networking opportunities: OTCC 2024 is a great opportunity to connect with key tobacco and vaping control stakeholders, academics, professionals, policy makers and students.
  • Experience the Gold Coast: The Gold Coast offers a stunning backdrop of sun, sea, and sand that is sure to inspire and foster collaboration.

We cordially invite you to join us on the Gold Coast for OTCC 2024: Reignite the Fight. We are confident that this conference will be a remarkable and unique experience, and we look forward to seeing you there.
